Over 5,000 delegates, mixed reality experiences, and 100 inspiring speakers. These were a few of the stand-out moments from Internet Retailing and eDelivery Expo 2018, that we attended last month. Bearing the Birmingham cold, everyone was on a mission: to share and discover what the future holds for retail, fulfilment and supply chain technologies. Here are three of our favourite moments:
Introducing a New Reality
Our very own Mike Hayers and Audrey Williart, took delegates through the Packcity parcel lockers and the CVP-500 packaging machine experience using the Microsoft HoloLens. This virtual reality experience gave delegates the opportunity to be fully immersed in how these products work, and how it can be adapted to their business. Showcasing Magento Shipping
As a Magento premier technology partner, we were proud to showcase Magento Shipping, which is powered by Temando at the event. Delegates were treated to information around Magento Shipping which showcased how a retailer can curate great delivery experiences for consumers by leveraging multiple shipping options. We will be exhibiting at the upcoming Magento Imagine event in Las Vegas, so come by our booth to discover how Magento Shipping can work for you.
Presenting the Cart to Customer Journey
Forrester stated that 2018 is all about retailers obsessing over their customers, and we certainly felt like this was the case at Internet Retailing and eDelivery Expo 2018. Customer centricity is what our business is built on, so we were very pleased to engage with like-minded retailers at the event. We shared our vision of what a cart to customer journey can look like when you implement supply chain technologies – from when an online shopper is presented with relevant delivery options at the checkout to receiving their well-packaged order at a location and time of their choice.
