The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a comprehensive update to existing European Union privacy laws that goes into effect on May 25, 2018. The GDPR is intended to extend additional data protection to all EU residents and enforce their right to data privacy by providing greater transparency and control over personal data.
